Rejuvenating Skin Treatments

There is no escaping it, everyone ages. It’s only human. However, there are many non-surgical options to alleviate many of the visible signs of aging for a more rejuvenated and youthful appearance. Our most highly recommended, non-surgical anti-aging procedures include:

• Botox® and Dysport® Injections
• Restylane® Dermal Filler
• Microneedling with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
• TCA Chemical Peels
• Retin-A (Retinoic Acid) Treatments

Botox® and Dysport® Injections

A popular and affordable solution to reverse the visible signs of aging, such as wrinkles and fine lines, are neuromodulators such as Botox® and Dysport®. These are injected with a very fine needle into specific facial muscles to reduce the appearance of “expression lines” and to smooth the skin for a more youthful appearance.

Botox® and Dysport® Injections relax the muscles of facial expression, thereby reducing the appearance of many dynamic fine lines and preventing the formation of new lines over time with continued, sequential treatments.

To ensure a natural-looking result, the aesthetic skill and keen artistic eye of an experienced cosmetic injector is absolutely critical. We perform an in-depth analysis of the movement of your facial muscles to examine your unique facial “animation lines.” By doing so, we can ensure a natural-looking result that preserves the unique characteristics of your individual facial features.

Restylane® Dermal Filler

Dermal fillers such as Restylane®, Restylane® Lyft, Restylane® Silk, Juvederm®, Voluma®, and Belotero® are all natural ways to restore facial volume and contour that is lost over time. They are composed of a stabilized form of hyaluronic acid (HA), that when injected, can add fullness, correct volume loss, and improve contour throughout the face. Dermal fillers are most commonly used for:

• Adding volume to the cheeks and temple region
• Filling facial hollows and sunken areas under the eyes
• Reducing the appearance of a “sad mouth” (oral commissure creases)
• Improving the appearance of lines around the mouth and nose
• Reshaping the nose, forehead and brow
• Lip augmentation and lip contouring
• Restoring volume to the hands and earlobes

Microneedling with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Microneedling treatment consists of a series of tiny needles that penetrate the upper layers of the skin. When combined with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) the two work together as a powerful combination to rejuvenate the skin and promote a youthful appearance.

The tiny needles create a “controlled injury” to the skin. These ‘micro injuries’ work to stimulate the skin to produce new collagen by creating new cartilaginous fibers to repair those that are disrupted by the microneedling process, promoting new skin cell growth.

Your own Platelet Rich Plasma can be applied to the skin immediately after microneedling. The PRP process extracts platelets from your blood, which then penetrate into the microchannels created by the microneedling process. This plasma contains your own growth factors that stimulate new collagen and dermal matrix formation, which improve both the texture and overall appearance of the skin. Microneedling combined with PRP may also be used for facial rejuvenation, anti-aging, acne treatment, and sun damage repair.

TCA Chemical Peels

TCA is an abbreviation for trichloroacetic acid – a safe, non-toxic chemical used for facial peel treatments. When the TCA is applied to the skin, the top layers of cells dry and peel over a period of 5-7 days, resulting in smoother and younger-looking skin.

TCA peels provide a deeper exfoliation than a typical aesthetic facial peel, salon facial, or microdermabrasion. However, a TCA peel is not as invasive as laser resurfacing, so the recovery time is faster. TCA peels are ideal for treating visible signs of aging such as uneven pigmentation, sun damage or “sun spots”, wrinkles and fine lines.

Retin-A (Retinoic Acid) Treatments

Retin-A is tretinoin or retinoic acid, a derivative of vitamin A that works to reduce the effects of UV radiation on the skin — one of the major factors that contributes to accelerated aging of the skin. Retin-A has been proven to reverse photo damage that has already occurred, and can improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin pigmentation, or “sun spots”.

Retin-A removes the outermost layer of the skin’s surface, and stimulates new collagen, so some redness and dryness may occur as your skin acclimates to using the product. A light moisturizer to improve skin moisture can help to alleviate dryness. You need to protect your skin from the sun as long as you are using the product, and we recommend a sunblock with a physical block, such as one containing zinc or titanium for the best sun protection.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are pregnant or breastfeeding we DO NOT recommend Retin-A treatment because it has been associated with birth defects.

Retin-A is also a highly effective treatment for acne, stretch marks, and sun damage repair.
